“Men of quality don’t fear equality.”- Unknown. The only way to get gender equality in America is to get men to understand their privilege and advantage over women. Getting men to change their perception on gender equality will help women become equal to men. Being a Feminist doesn’t mean you hate men or want more power than them. It means that you want to be equal to men. If you can get men to understand this than you can empower women.
Men are the root of the problem to things that degrade women from being equal. They control many things women need such as: reproductive health, transportation, and many resources women need. According to United Nations Populations Fund, the only way to reach gender equality is by making men realize that they are not better than women throughout programs. Promoting gender equality with men is the only way we can reach gender equality. This is important because this can bring the change the world needs to see.
Men play a key part on reaching gender equality. Women can only go halfway and it’s up for men to go the other half. Gender equality is about being equal and it can only be obtained if men are willing to help women reach this equality. “I always thought humanity had two wings, the male and female, and these wings need to be equivalent in strength in order to fly.” - Justin Baldoni.
