Empowering Women in Technology

“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.” Women are starting to become better leaders when they branch out to areas of STEM. It gives younger women the belief that if they believe it, then they can achieve it. We need women to empower other women in different careers, so others are inspired to work in this career. By empowering women in technology we can open doors for the women yet to come.

Global Fund for Women, are developing a better chance for women to get jobs in the STEM and IT career area. In India, they have started teaching 12-18 years old girls confidence and computer skills needed to succeed. This is important because it is giving women the proper tools needed in STEM and IT. According to National Girls Collaborative Project, only 11.2 percent of women have a Bachelor's in science and engineering. This is important because technology is the future and women should develop these skills so we can continue growing.

“Never think you can’t do anything because you’re a woman; everything is open to you as a girl. The future is yours.”- Christiane Amanpour. Empowering women in technology is important for the female future. If women don’t learn these technology skills we will fall behind in this career path too. We need to find a way to empower women in technology, so future females have a chance for the career they want. Women are the key to changing and shaping technology.
